Peacefully, after a brief illness, June Tardiff passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 75 years.

She was predeceased by her parents Adele and Joseph; sister Irene; and niece Barb. June will be always cherished by her husband of 58 years Maurice; son Tim (Val) and grandson Nic; son Rick and grandchildren Zander and Danielle. She also leaves her sister Rachel Bylsma (Lorne) and nephew Colin (Brandy); brother-in-law Dave Cyr, nieces Cheryl (Fred) and Lorraine (Harald), and nephew Dale (Carol); special friend Sylvia; and many other family members and friends.

June’s greatest joy in life was her family. You could always see her cheering at her grandson’s games. It didn’t matter who scored, she could be heard “ringing her bell”! She dedicated countless hours volunteering at St. Boniface Hospital, St. Bernadette Church, and at her home at Agape Villa. She loved to travel, and even the thought of travel made her very happy. She loved singing, music, and dancing, and appreciated a good joke. June enjoyed great conversation; no matter where she was, she was always the center of the room. The angels that she collected over the years reflect her devotion to God, and remind us that she will forever be an angel herself.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road, with Fr. Phil Daley presiding. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, especially Dr. Sherwood, Steve, and Maggie, for their kindness and compassion.

“With the passing of seasons,

Life is still not done, not through,

For there is yet another season,

When each spirit is renewed.

And it is in this calm fifth season,

In this hopeful second spring,

A time of cleansing and rebirth,

A time of new awakening.

Each person’s life will come full circle,

Even as the seasons do,

To start another, different life,

Much better than the one we knew.”

- C. A. Schlea
