<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, aunt and friend, Robin Bisson, on January 3, 2017, at Actionmarguerite - Taché at the age of 55 years.<br><br>Robin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Steven (Christine); her extended family including Marguerite, Dianne (René), Ronald (Claudette), Roxanne (Dan), Marie-Josephe (Tim), Brooks (Rita), Shawn (John), Tracy, Kathy and Betty; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. <br><br>Robin was predeceased by her parents Stanislas and Théodora (Fisette); brothers François, Stan and Gerard; sister Jeanne, and brother-in-law Paul.<br><br>Robin was born August 30, 1961, and was raised in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. After graduating high school, Robin moved to the “Big City” (Winnipeg) in 1979 and began her career with George H. Young Co. Ltd., which spanned almost 25 years . Robin had many close friendships at GHY which she maintained even after illness forced her retirement in 2003.<br><br>Robin loved, not just once but twice. Her marriage with Richard Higgins gave Robin the light of her life, her son Steven; and her marriage with Matthew Kovacs made her the happiest she had ever been.<br><br>Robin moved to Actionmarguerite - Taché in 2006 and immediately began forming special relationships with the staff and residents. She flourished in the social atmosphere, eagerly participating in the many activities and outings. Robin truly loved and was loved by her Taché family.<br><br>Robin enjoyed listening to country music, going to movies and bingo, savoring a good steak, collecting tea light houses, and had many hobbies including crochet, crafting and nail art. Robin especially loved spending time with her son Steven and other family and friends. Robin was passionate, fun-loving, feisty, and equally quick with a smile or a witty retort. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved nothing more than pulling practical jokes and telling silly stories. <br><br>Robin’s courage and determination throughout her lengthy illness inspired not only her family and friends, but all who came into contact with her. She was a truly amazing woman.<br><br>A celebration of Robin’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodière Boulevard, Winnipeg.<br><br>The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Actionmarguerite - Taché for their years of compassionate care and unwavering support for Robin.
