<div itemprop="description">Annette Marie Smith, age 85 passed away peacefully on February 11, 2017. She was born in Winnipeg on August 15, 1931 and had fond childhood memories of her hometown of Fannystelle, Manitoba. Annette's greatest love and pride was always her family and she leaves us with many special memories to cherish. Annette was a kind and friendly soul devoted to a lifetime of helping and caring for others and has now been called upon to continue what she loved doing most, extending care and kindness. She is survived by her children: Michael McGetrick (Carole), Howard (Nancy), Paul (Shelley), Greg, Diane (Eric) and Cynthia (Danny) along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters Rolande, Laura, Gertrude and Yvonne and her brother Maurice. Annette is pre-deceased by loving spouses Terry McGetrick and Bill Smith, her parents Alexandre and Marguerite Lavigne, and sisters Therese and Claire. The family would like to take this opportunity to graciously thank the staff at Foyer Valade (Action Marguerite) for the wonderful care and attention they provided to Mom over the past two years. <br> <br> <br> <br>A celebration of Annette's life will take place at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg MB on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. <br> <br></div>
