Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family.

Lorraine was predeceased by her sister Vivian. She leaves behind the man she so truly loved Hannon Bell. He was her best friend, her rock, her sounding board and sometimes her loving punching bag. Left to cherish her memory are her Mom and Dad, Lois & Len Andree, her brother Brian (Susan) and her sister Lisa (Daniel), and her much-loved nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Kyle, Veronica and Troy, whom she wanted to be her honourary pallbearers. She will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins across Canada. Lorraine never cared for material things and would give up the world for her family.

Lorraine was very close to her in-laws the late Rose and Leon Bell and adored her work mates, “her peeps”, from both the 6th & 9th floors.

Lorraine spent most of her life in Southdale, attended Windsor Park Collegiate and worked for the Government of Manitoba for 40+ years in various positions in several departments. Lorraine loved all the time she spent at Sandy Hook. She treasured the fall but without a doubt Christmas was her favourite time of year. She enjoyed creating culinary delights, especially her many extraordinary soups.

To all of the doctors, nurses, health care aides & spiritual care at the Victoria General Hospital 4th floor she wanted you to know how much she appreciated your gentle and caring ways, and for all your help and support. She developed many friendships with the staff at The “Vic” and the St Boniface General Hospital.

A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodière Blvd, Sunday October 2nd at 2:00pm with reception to follow.

In gracious lieu of flowers, Lorraine wishes for donations to be made to The Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), Siloam Mission or The Victoria General Hospital Foundation.

Say not in grief “she is no more”, but live in thankfulness that she was.

Hebrew proverb
