Roger Trudel
November 14, 1945 - June 26, 2015
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roger Maurice Trudel, on June 26th, in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 69 years.
He was predeceased by his father Aimé Trudel and his son André Trudel.
Roger will be sadly missed and his memory will be cherished by his wife Bev, two children Michel (Chelsea) and Nicole, mother Antoinette, and siblings Maurice (Norma) Trudel and Florence (George) Beaudry, nephews Jaimie (Charlene), Patrick (Janelle), Richard (Marie-Josée), Philippe (Karen), niece Michelle (Ronald), sister-in-law Shirley (Len), and special friends Andy (Pat) Sirski and Don (Judy) Vermette.
Roger was born in Mariapolis, Manitoba on November 14, 1945. He grew up helping his family on the farm before they moved to the city in 1954. He was a shy boy growing up, and was a man of few words, but he cared deeply for his family and friends.
He happily worked at different occupations, from teaching to government jobs, as well as H&R Block and his snow blowing and lawn business.
Among some of his favourite pastimes were woodworking, landscaping, playing hockey and tinkering around in the garage, but his absolute favourite was taking a nap in a comfy chair.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Saint Boniface Cathédrale, 190 avenue de la Cathédrale, with viewing at 9:30 a.m. A private family interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Children’s Hospital Foundation, CE501-840 Sherbrook St
Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1.
