<div itemprop="description">On Saturday, November 19th Isaak John Doerksen peacefully, with his family by his side went to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.<br><br>Isaak was predeceased by his wife Lilliane, son John, grandson Matthew, brothers Abraham, Jacob, Peter and sister Maria. Left to mourn are children Dianne (Peter), Len (June), Garry (Marlene), Ken (Sharon), Beverly (Rick), Lorraine (Dave), Marie and Darlene; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.<br><br>Isaak was born on April 10, 1922 to Johann Doerksen and Aganetha Hildebrandt in Halbstad, MB. Their other children were Abraham, Jacob, Peter, John, David, Maria, Aganetha, Elsie and Harry. At age 14 when his mother died he left his childhood home to work on a neighboring relative’s farm. Dad enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp. in 1940. After the war he met the love of his life and married Lilliane (nee Laroque). They shared the next 50 years together. They settled in St. Boniface raising 9 children and 1 grandchild. Dad was a hard worker retiring from Building Products driving a cement mixer. After retirement mom and dad spent many hours administering love and prayer to many people in the hospital while raising grandson Matthew.<br><br>Dad spent his final days in prayer at the Deer Lodge Centre. The Doerksen family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Deer Lodge Centre who treated dad with love and care in his final days. <br><br>If family and friends wish to give a donation, please send donations to the Jewish Federation.<br></div>
