<div itemprop="description">On the evening of Sunday March 5, after being surrounded by her loved ones all day, Gloria Phyllis Mieyette (nee Gauthier) passed away in her sleep at the Victoria Hospital. <br> <br>Gloria was survived by her husband Paul, her sons Paul Fontaine (Anne) and Andy Mieyette, and her daughter Melinda Mieyette. She leaves behind six wonderful grandchildren--Paul Fontaine Jr, Aleecia Fontaine (Felix Doyle), John Fieber, Breanna Fieber, Sidney Butler, Emily Mieyette, and one great-grandchild--Liam Patrick Guy Fontaine Doyle. <br> <br>She also leaves behind her mother Lenore Gauthier and sisters--Dallas Turner, Betty Marchessault, Kathy Paul (Robert), Bonnie Hooley (Jerry) and Darlene Schacht (Michael). <br> <br>Gloria was short in stature but full of life. Like Billy Joel’s Piano Man, she was “quick with a joke or a light of your smoke”. Gloria loved camping and fishing. and had a great appreciation for music. She made many friends over the years and was someone who made an impact on everyone she met. <br> <br>Whether it was her days as a waitress or a bus driver, Gloria loved working with the public. Her co-workers, customers, and the students she served enjoyed being around her. <br> <br>Gloria was a born-again Christian, and will now join her father Andrew Gauthier and brothers-in-law Wayne and Val at home with her saviour, Jesus Christ. <br> <br>The family will hold a celebration of life at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Immanuel Pentecostal Church 955 Wilkes Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B8. <br> <br> In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association <br> <br></div>
