<div itemprop="description">Ethel Florence Laidlaw<br>Peacefully at the St. Boniface hospital in the early morning of January 8, Ethel Laidlaw (89) passed away following a brief illness.<br>Ethel was predeceased by her husband Wallace (Bud) in 1982; sons Robert (1955) & Patrick (2007). Parents Earl & Flora Clark, & siblings and their spouses Jim & Gloria Clark, Betty & Harry Gyselman.<br>She is survived by son Gary (Jan Perchal), daughter-in-law Jo-Ann Gusdal, grandchildren Colin Laidlaw, Alli Striepe (Mark), Reid Laidlaw, and Laura Laidlaw, and step-grandchildren Matt Armstrong (Blair), and Brittany Armstrong.<br>She is also survived by great grandchildren Sennen & Isla Striepe, and Meadow Laidlaw. One of her greatest joys was visiting with them.<br>Her nephews Earl (Allison) & Eric (Janet) Gyselman, & Bob (Joanell) Clark, and niece Terry (Jack) Murphy, were very special to her.<br>She grew up in Riverview and lived in Winnipeg her entire life. After marrying Bud in Sept 1947, they lived in Fort Garry & Fort Richmond. She was a summer resident at Victoria Beach for over 50 years and had many VB friends.<br>She lived life to the fullest and had a wide circle of friends.<br>The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff on 4E & 5E at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their care & support. Special thanks to Mellissa & Ruth on 4E.<br>There will be no formal service, but a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00PM at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.<br>In lieu of flowers please send a donation to: The Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer Care Manitoba, or The St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.<br></div>
