<div itemprop="description">Keith McMurchy <br>Earl “Keith” McMurchy passed away on December 1st, 2016 at Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lois and sons Scott (Karen) and Reid (Paulette) and grandchildren Abbey, Piper and Ryder. Keith is also survived by his brother Jim (James) of Lethbridge, AB. Keith was pre-deceased by his sister Rae (Campbell). In addition to his own grandchildren, he was Grandpa Keith to many more. <br>Born in Reston, MB on November 19th, 1943, he was the son of Frank and Iris McMurchy. Keith attended Teacher’s College, Brandon University and the University of Manitoba earning his teaching degree. His career in education spanned thirty five years, teaching in Elm Creek, Winnipeg, Rossburn and then as both a teacher and principal in The Pas, MB, retiring in 2000. <br>Keith and Lois lived in The Pas and Rocky Lake from 1974 to 2014. While in The Pas, Keith was involved in a variety of activities and community organizations. He coached hockey while the boys were young, and remained active in The Pas Curling Club. He enjoyed golf in the summer and spending time with friends at the Lake. With his sense of humour, honesty and kindness, he created a special connection with many. <br>Keith was a long serving member of The Pas Rotary Club and actively involved in the clubs’ community service activities until relocating to Winnipeg in 2014. <br>Memorial Services will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. in Winnipeg on Saturday December 10th at 10:00am. This will be followed by an interment service at the cemetery in Darlingford, MB at 3:30pm. <br>Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba through their website at www.cancercarefdn.mb.ca or to The Rotary Club of The Pas, Box 833, The Pas, MB R9A 1M3 or contact Connie Chartrand at (204)623-5180. <br></div>
