<div itemprop="description">It is with our heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Beatriz Daily (Betty) at the age of 65 on December 19, 2016 at home in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. She was born on December 29, 1950 and raised in Bogo , Cebu Philippines, immigrated to Canada in 1990. <br> <br>Betty was the eldest of six children of Agapito Cruz and Maxima Lubon Cruz. She was predeceased by her parents, youngest twin siblings at a young age and a brother Daniel Cruz. <br> <br>Survived by her one and only sister Simeona Cruz Schaubroeck of La Salle, Manitoba (auntie to Vincent and Stephen) and brother in Philippines Ponciano Dela Cruz sister in law to Gregoria Dela Cruz (auntie to Nikki D. Alburo / Joseph, Irene D. Mercader / Jesse (daughter Chontelle Kate), Swen L. Dela Cruz, Nino Agapito Dela Cruz, Pamela Dela Cruz, Jonahs Dela Cruz, Telo Dela Cruz, Joshua Dela Cruz and Roland Dela Cruz. <br> <br>Her memories most treasured especially by her 3 children and cherish by all of grandchildren. Only son Richel Dela Cruz / Maritess (Justin) Eldest daughter Maritess Santillan Bushenlonga (Kyle Vincent Retuerto, Eldon, Alana and Nolan), youngest daughter Maribeth Santillan Arquero / Arnold (Spencer and Wentworth) and Jamil Aziz Qureshi and Joanne Santillan Conde. <br> <br>In the past Mama worked in several places. The one thing that stands out the most is working with a team of midwives and others in Philippines and gained more experience here abroad like Salisbury and the Casino. Mama was a good team co-worker and friends to all that came to knew her. She was elegant and beautiful in her own little ways. <br> <br>Life for mama was filled with adventure. Loves to dance, listen to music and watch shows from Philippines, 48 hours skating competitions, etc. She always believe in giving wholeheartedly never expecting anything in return and around when we needed her the most. <br> <br>Our mother's love: <br> <br>Death is not the end for love does go on <br> <br>You will find the evidence long after I'm gone. <br> <br>In the smiles of my grandchildren there you’ll find me <br> <br>In the twinkles of their eyes and in their own beauty It don't matter for they may be tiny big or small be proud and tend to their need as I love them all. <br> <br>I'm not one for books or games and baking cookies but i do love to give my warm hugs and kisses. <br> <br>Do not mourn my passing you are not left alone. <br> <br>Have your children and spread my love to everyone in your home. <br> <br>You will always find me lingering deep in your hearts <br> <br>Our memories? Yes there was sorrows but remember the laughs..!!! <br> <br>The bond that grew between us will not abate with time it will go on forever ... <br> <br>So love them ...oh love them as they were mine.. <br> <br>With such simplicity and elegance this is how our dear mother made her love known ... <br> <br></div>
